A2DP would be very enjoyable. Today it’s the only way for listening to music flow like letournedisque.com stereomood.com, grooveshark.com …
Are you listening to webradio..? I trully think thoose sources are the future of webradio.

And that’s the reason why i have tested different solution (like volumio) but at the end i use a bluetooth AD2P receiver like the logitech wireless speaker adapter. I can listen to my own music with shared folder, +unusual source (soundcloud etc..) broadcasted by every electronic device i own : Smartphone, tablet, computer.
And the little extra : My guest can broadcast there souds without any more settings than pushing a single button on the receiver.

Well, i realy think this could be a verry usefull feature for your development, and you would have the only system compatible with it by now

Hi Bary, actually caring Volumio development is quite overwhelming for me, but the big is done… I think bluetooth support is not a priority, but it would be interesting to see how to integrate that. I’ll take a look at it, but anyway don’t expect it to come soon…

These are really two different devices. Hardware wise in my opinion the performance will be the same, they rely on the same platform. As for the usage, they play on 2 different fields. With UDOO you have an amazing platform for DIYing, and you can customize as you want (example, connect physical buttons, touch display etc). With the Utilite you’ll have a finished and boxed device, with probably better wi-fi capabilities.
Again… It depends on what you look, wether a standalone device or a DIY platform!
