One issue: poweroff crashes the filesystem at times.
fsck -y can fix that, but a non writeable / would be great!

Again- fantastic work you’ve done!
I’m enjoying volumio on raspi and it’s a great pleasure!

Only 2 Questions:
1. How do I get ram load to work?
Does volumio load files automatically into ram before playing them or is there something to config first?
It would be really great to have this feature working automatically- if raspi is to slow for this, than maybe on udoo.

2. Is it possible to create a direct wlan connection between raspi and smartphone?
It would be useful in mobile aspects- even if this means to loose web radio feature in this case.
In a former music server project with raspi, that I used, some kind of hot spot was created with raspi and a logilink usb adapter so that I was able to connect directly with the smartphone without having main wlan router activated.
Or maybe it works similar via wifi?

This would give the possibility to play music in areas, where no network or internet is available

I can tell you – IT WORKS!!
I have installed Volumio Beta1Pi – and (my) Rpi DAC (I2S) works. I can listen to web radio and very easy to install and configure.
