I am enjoying the sound of the DigiOne (which is replacing a Jkenny modified Hiface as usb- s/pdif converter). Using Audirvana on a MBP as server. My main difficulty has been that Volumio takes over the volume control function from Audirvana during playback. This is a super problem because dac is directly connected to amp (with a preamp) and one slip could damage equipment. Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,
if your DAC is not friendly to DSD, please enable DSD Direct on Volumio: this way the DSD stream will be converted to PCM, and your DAC should be able to handle it. If this still does not work, try to enable resampling to 24/96 as your DAC might not be capable of playing 24/192 (which is the maximum output of digione).

I have the digi one and it appears to be working except no sound. My DAC is an Aune X1S and my guess is that the coax/spdif input is not friendly to DSD . Any fix or do I need an I2S Dac?
Any recommendations are truly appreciate.
