Thank you Karine.
Yes, we are considering google music, apple music and amazon music as next candidates for inclusion.
Also, the idea to allow for storage on cloud servers of music files is on the table. But we’re evaluating it as it seems it will cost a lot.
MQA is not decoded by Volumio. But our TIDAL implementation is MQA capable, so if you have a MQA enabled USB DAC you will play native MQA (tested personally)

Will you consider adding support for the Google Music service as well ? I’ve used it to backup all my non high-res music.
Will you offer a subscription based cloud service in order to store our own high-res-files ?
Last, will the MQA files available from Tidal be decoded by volumio (mqa core decoder), and passed through an MQA certified DAC ? (for those people already into MQA)
Best Regards

Thank you, it works with the analog output (have not tried earlier, I bought a cable yesterday). So my USB DAC is the problem. Looks like I have to go for a Hifiberry DAC 🙂

We would love to bring the official Spotify connect implementation, since this will be the only way that we can provide 100% working Connect solution. But so far this has not been possible. We’re still hoping to do it one day, though…
So the only available way as of now is to use a third-party connect plugin.

Take a look of the last 100 lines of /var/log/volumio.log after the problem occurs. If you don’t find anything suspicious you can try using the internal audio output, just to confirm that the problem is not with your DAC or its drivers. It may also be a network issue so the best bet is to check the log file using SSH.

It works for me without any issues. What SBC/SD card combination are you using?

Actually, it’s not working. I have premium. Tried to controll it from Android Spotify app, Windows 10 Spotify app, the results were the same: plays about 10-12 track, then stops, nothing works on Volumio (can’t play files from my NAS, too) until reboot.

Assuming you have a spotify premium account, Spotify connect have been working very well using the volspotconnect2 plugin, . Instructions are here: https://nanomesher.com/enhanced-listening-experience-with-spotify-connect-on-volumio2/

What about Spotify? Is there any chance to make Spotify connect REALLY work? If you say it will work with a subscription, then take my money 🙂
